Linda Getten of HRMC’s Home Health has created a program to help local seniors learn exercises to gain strength and balance. Classes are free of charge and a wonderful way for seniors to gain knowledge and network with others. Classes are offered at the Sports and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center on Tuesdays at 10:00am. Please call to sign up, (541) 881-7330

Living With Diabetes
The Dietary Department at HRMC works very hard to bring information and support to those in need. The nationally recognized Diabetic Education classes are taught by a team of knowledgeable professionals including licensed Dietitians, pharmacists, and physical therapists. This hospital based program has both a group and individual element which helps provide a comprehensive experience for patients. This program and support group helps with Diabetic self management. Discussion topics include meal planning, stress management, tips for blood glucose monitoring and much more.

You must be referred by a physician; you will also need to contact your insurance provider to find out whether the program is covered under your plan. Most insurance carriers cover the cost of the program, and most physicians will support your desire to learn self-management skills.
